Joint venture De Telegraaf and CEE Exhibitions

NV Holdingmaatschappij De Telegraaf and CEE Exhibitions, part of Expomedia Group PLC, have entered a joint venture agreement focused on the development and exploitation of events and consumer exhibitions in the Netherlands. Expomedia is a listed UK company, which has launched successfully exhibition concepts in, amongst others, Europe and the Far East in the past 15 years.

For De Telegraaf it is a first step in the development of event marketing expanding its multi-media exhibitions on the editorial side as well as on the advertising information side. A vast market potential will be created by combining the strong brand names, large reach of newspapers and magazines of De Telegraaf company and the specific know how in the field of expositions of Expomedia.

In 2004 Expomedia will invest in a purpose built, modern exhibition and conference centre in Amsterdam covering 10,000 sqm of hall space, equipped with the latest communications and Internet technology. The new centre aims to fill a market niche between the large established halls and the hotel facility market.

The joint venture provides in the joint organisation of consumer expositions in which De Telegraaf will contribute by its reach and promotion and Expomedia the space and organisa-tion. De Telegraaf has a first right of refusal for the co organisation of business-to-business expositions.
