Proposed appointment of Van Campenhout as CEO of TMG

The Supervisory Board of Telegraaf Media Groep (TMG) intends to appoint Mr. H.M.P. van Campenhout as its chief executive officer (CEO) and the successor to Mr A.J. Swartjes, who is to step down at the end of April next year.

Van Campenhout will join the executive board of TMG halfway through February 2011; his appointment is subject to the shareholders’ approval of some changes which brings the remuneration policy more into line with the Dutch Corporate Governance Code. These changes will be put to the TMG shareholders during an extraordinary general meeting of shareholdersto be held in Amsterdam on 7 December 2010.

In addition, the proposed appointment will be subject to advice from the Central Works Council.

From 2001 until the beginning of 2010, Van Campenhout has been working for Reed Elsevier, most recently as CEO of the Science & Technology division of Elsevier. Subsequently, he was, for a short time, CEO of USG People. In the period from 1984 to 2001, he held various positions at Shell.

The Supervisory Board will make the proposed appointment known to the shareholders at the extraordinary general meeting of shareholdersin December. Two weeks from now, notice of this meeting, its agenda and further information about Mr. Van Campenhout will be placed on www.tmg.nl.
