Telegraaf and Online Dating

Uitgeversmaatschappij De Telegraaf BV, a member of Telegraaf Media Groep NV, finalised the agreement for a 70% interest in Relatieplanet.nl and Iwannadate.nl as from 1 January 2006. The takeover is in keeping with the company’s goal to set the tone in matching supply with demand, with the focus on a far-reaching integration of paper, internet and mobile services. The dating sites will be operated by a new subsidiary, Telegraaf Classified Media BV.

The group is not announcing any takeover amounts. Both participations are in keeping with the goal of the Telegraaf Media Groep to keep up with changing media behaviour on the part of both consumers and advertisers as much as possible. In doing so, the focus is primarily on gathering, creating, publishing and operating accessible, useful and attractive content through traditional and digital media.
