Telegraaf Media Groep and SBS Broadcasting

It was announced yesterday that SBS Broadcasting S.A. has signed an agreement with the combination Permira / Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co with regard to the sale of all activities.

In the Netherlands, the television stations SBS 6, Net 5 and Veronica are part of SBS Broadcasting B.V. This company is owned by SBS Broadcasting S.A. (63%), Telegraaf Media Groep (27%) and Veronica Holding B.V. (10%) respectively.

To what extent the sale will affect the Dutch operations is unknown at this time; Telegraaf Media Groep is presently engaged in talks about this with both the current management of SBS Broadcasting S.A. and the new shareholders.

Telegraaf Media Groep has accrued an interest of about € 29 million in SBS Broadcasting S.A (average purchase price € 38) in the course of the year 2005. As is the case with the recent investment in Expomedia, this investment is part of the further internationalization of TMG
