Telegraaf Media Groep expands interest in Expomedia

Telegraaf Media Groep N.V. (TMG) is expanding its interest in the British trade fairs and events organization Expomedia Group Plc through the acquisition of a 9% interest (4,543,035 shares). The purchase price amounts to  £ 1.40 per share. At an earlier stage, TMG has already acquired an interest in Expomedia from the issue of new shares representing 10% of the share capital of Expomedia. In this way, a total interest of 18% has been achieved. Through the acquisition of the share package, TMG wants to further realize its international ambitions and develop within the media type of trade fairs and events.

Expomedia develops and exploits an international chain of exposition, events and conference centres. In these centres, Expomedia organizes its own events, but also places the locations at the disposition of third parties. The locations are in, among other places, Amsterdam, Cologne, Moscow, Belgrade, Warsaw, Katowice, Budapest and New Delhi.

Within the joint venture TE2, Expomedia and TMG together organize consumer fairs and trade fairs, in keeping with the titles of Telegraaf Media Groep.
