TMG appoints international director
Telegraaf Media Groep NV (TMG) has appointed Mr Rien van Lent as President of Telegraaf Media International.
In this role he will lead all the group's international activities, reporting directly to the CEO. The appointment is part of TMG's policy to continue expanding its established international activities in parallel with a policy of improvement and innovation in the Netherlands.
Until the end of 2005, Mr van Lent headed the European operations of The Wall Street Journal, part of US-based Dow Jones concern, from Brussels. In the past he held both journalistic and management positions at Het Financieele Dagblad in Amsterdam.
Outside the Netherlands, TMG is currently active in Sweden and Ukraine. The group also owns holdings in international companies SBS Broadcasting (television) and Expomedia (exhibitions and events).
